Introduction
Aoran Fan is an assistant professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Tsinghua University. She obtained his B.S. and Ph.D. in 2015 and 2021 from Tsinghua University, respectively, and then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Tsinghua University. She joined Tsinghua University in 2025 as assistant professor. Her main research areas are micro- and nanoscale thermal measurement technologies and their extended applications in the fields of chips, batteries, and medical-industrial crossover.

Research Status
Fan keeps focusing on the development of nanoscale thermal measurement methods and their further application: proposed a dual-wavelength flash Raman thermal diffusivity measurement method with both high temporal resolution and spatial resolution, and the method has been effectively applied in thermophysical properties measurement of zero-dimensional nanoparticles, one-dimensional nanowires, and two-dimensional nanofilms. Based on the study of thermophysical properties, she further expanded the measurement method to the fields of in-situ detection of temperature and thermal stress distribution in chips, characterization of carriers transferring through the interface in all-solid-state batteries, and even medical research for early cancer diagnosis.
