担任国际力学SCI期刊《Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures》、《Materials》、《医用生物力学》编委；《固体力学学报》青年编委；中国力学学会软物质力学工作组组员；中国力学学会生物力学专业委员会委员。

主要从事软材料与结构力学、细胞力学、生物软组织（例如肿瘤、胚胎、类器官）多尺度力学的研究。

课题组主要从事细胞与软组织的多尺度多场耦合力学行为、软材料非线性大变形、结构弹性稳定性的研究，结合理论建模、数值模拟与实验分析，重点考虑如下三方面：

（1）建立固体材料与结构大变形的力学理论与计算方法，揭示宏、微观尺度上表面失稳、形貌产生与演化的物理机制。

（2）发展考虑多相多场耦合、化学反应与扩散、非线性的生物软组织力-化-生耦合本构模型与有限元方法，为肿瘤、胚胎等软组织的生长演化研究提供理论工具。

（3）发展表征群体细胞动力学与自组织的理论、计算方法与实验技术，阐释多细胞介观尺度动力学、形态发生与分子尺度的蛋白表达、细胞尺度的癌变、迁移、粘附、粘弹性等之间的关联，揭示胚胎发育、肿瘤转移等生理、病理过程中的力生物学机理。
